Añejo Mojito

  • 2 oz Don Q Añejo rum
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz Simple syrup *
  • 7 Mint leaves
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 Chilled club soda
  • 1 Mint sprig for garnish
  • 1 Lime wheel for garnish
  1. Gently muddle mint leaves with simple syrup in a cocktail shaker tin, add lime juice and the Don Q Añejo Rum. Fill with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled. Strain into an ice-filled highball or Collins glass. Add a dash of bitters, top with soda and garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wheel (optional).
  2. *Simple syrup: Dissolve 8 oz. granulated sugar in 8 oz. hot water.
